Metabolic Chemistry Testing

 

 

          Metabolic chemistry is a test to be able to determine what your type of metabolism is and what is the best plan of action to treat the conditions that you would be coming in for. The test consists of a urine and saliva sample where we are measuring urine and saliva ph levels, kidney function, water retention in the body, electrolyte levels, possible infections in the body, protein and vegetable breakdown in the body, liver function and digestive function in the body to just name a few.

          The physical exam part of the metabolic testing is testing for functionality in the body such as lying and standing blood pressures and pulses, respiratory rate, breath hold, reflexes, eye and tongue readings and skin reactions to name a few exams that we do.

          All these tests are then analyzed and calculated through a computer program. Once the physician has gotten a chance to analyze your individual body chemistry and physiology numbers, he then uses these test results to come up with a comprehensive treatment plan that is tailored to you as an individual.
